For our anniversary, my husband and I were given the gift of a sunrise balloon ride. It was like our first year of marriage: breathtaking, beautiful and not what we had expected…. it was ethereal. (I actually had to look up the word ethereal, because I mixed it up with surreal…biiiig difference, those two).
ETHEREAL: “extremely delicate and light in a way that seems too perfect for this world”.
We looked back at the previous year and ahead to the next. Life has been different for me for a while now with my health struggles, and this coming year it will be different to another whole degree. We had not bargained on Lyme Disease.
We knew when we got engaged that I would most likely have health issues the rest of my life. And quite frankly that right there scared the crap out of me. Back pain, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, and widespread pain has been normal for years now. I was better some days, I was worse others. But Joel and I decided to take life one season at a time and include in our budget extra funds for the preventative medicine, supplements, therapy, acupuncture, etc that my body required. That was our plan of attack anyway.
But the game has changed. Now we are building a new game plan and trying to create new helpful habits for this year.
So on that note, I’m going to go drink some more bone broth and rest.
I know what you were thinking. And no, it’s not gross, it’s delicious. It only sounds gross…
